A more laid-back approach to the instrumentation of Oh No!, this one still puts the acoustic and electric dulcimers front-and-center together. It's a good closing number, I can almost imagine the credits rolling as this song plays; and the message is fitting, as this is my first solo project in years. I've loved the bands I've played in, but, for now, I'm pretty happy by myself. We'll just see what comes next.
lyrics
“So Good (To Be Alone)”
I wait for the day to slowly stop and start to turn my way
And I’m wishing I was here with you today
I’m hoping and praying that you’ll be open to what I’m saying is true
That I need some time away from you
And I’ve never understood how being on the outside could feel so good
Maybe I was born that way—everything is comfortable when I’m far away
So please don’t be afraid, there’s so much to take in, so much to be unmade
Don’t think of it as being alone, just make the world you’re very own
I just want to hold you
And treat you kind
I just want to bring you a peace of mind
So good, so good, so good, so good to be alone
